Day 1 & 2: Boston, MA
A transfer by shuttle from the airport to your hotel is included. Our professional tour director will be available in the hotel lobby from 18:00 to 21:00. Here you may collect your tour information packet.
On your first morning in Boston, join your tour director in the lobby of the hotel at 08:30 for a 09:00 departure, During this morning’s tour, experience the contrast between the past and present, viewing sites ranging from the Old North Church to the modern John Hancock Tower. In the afternoon you are free to explore the city on your own.
2 nights in Boston at the 4* Hilton Financial District, Downtown Boston
Day 3: To Mid Coast Maine (107 mi/171 km)
This morning, depart at 09:00 to travel along the North Shore of Massachusetts and the southern coast of Maine. Travel through the town of Salem, noted for its 17th century witchcraft trials. Further up the coast is the charming fishing port of Gloucester and the famous Fishermen’s Memorial statue commemorating “... they that go down in ships.” The artist colonies of Rockport, Massachusetts and Kennebunkport, Maine, bustle in the summer and provide the quiet inspiration of the sea all year long.

Day 4: To White Mountains, NH (66 mi/106 km)
Begin with a stop at Portland Head Light, a lovely example of a respected architectural form. Next, we head inland into New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Travel along the scenic Kancamagus Highway, an old Indian Trail which cuts through the National Forest. Enjoy an included aerial tram ride to the summit of Cannon Mountain which offers splendid views of the area (weather permitting).

Day 5: To Green Mountains, VT (171 mi/274 km)
More than 1,300 lakes adorn New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, location of the popular film “On Golden Pond.” Today you will pass two of these lakes, Winnipesaukee and Squam. Our journey continues to Vermont ‘s Green Mountains. A photo stop will capture breathtaking views of Quechee Gorge. Continue to Woodstock for free time in this quaint Vermont town, complete with a wooden covered bridge.

Day 6: To Connecticut River Valley, MA(174 mi/278 km)
Head south through the pastoral beauty of Vermont. Stop in ManchesterVillage, where designer outlets frame the village green and high street. Continuing south we enter the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts for a visit to Hancock Shaker Village.

Day 7 & 8: To Newport, RI & Cape Cod, MA (180 mi/288 km)
Today we travel to Newport, RI, the sailing capital of New England. Here, at the turn of the last century, America’s most wealthy families lived in such opulence that they referred to their palatial seasonal homes as “cottages.” You will tour one of these “summer cottages”. Then it is on to Cape Cod. While here, choose an unescorted round trip ferry ride to the island of Martha’s Vineyard, with an included sightseeing tour. This is New England’s largest, and perhaps most famous island. OR: You may decide to join us on a tour of Cape Cod with a whale watch cruise (weather permitting).
2 nights Cape Cod at the 3* Radisson Hyannis.
Day 9: To Boston, MA (75 mi/120 km)
En route to Boston, you will tour Sandwich, the Cape’s oldest town. Next, Plimoth Plantation invites you to witness
life as it was in 1627. Then, return to Boston Downtown or this tour will drop passengers off at Logan International Airport by 16:00.
